Scriptural study on the importance of being aware of online Facebook Quizzes and other “Trending” fads.

Recently, I (Chris Avalos) noticed a trend on Facebook that goes something like this: One of my Facebook “Friends” invites me to participate in an online quiz that helps determine “What Kind Of ________ am I?” The blank within the quotes can be filled in with numerous subjects. Color, Animal, Number, Flower etc… are just a few.

Luann Avalos: “When I first received the various test to participate, I had a nagging feeling that something was not right and maybe it should be avoided. When reading the various tests that are being presented, take into consideration that these are not questions as to what is your favorite color, what is your favorite animal, etc. These tests are wanting you to relate and possibly “embody/be assigned” the color, animal, flower, and number and stating that this is somehow the person that you are!”

This study came to light when we read the scriptures in Leviticus 20:6 during our Sabbath Torah Reading ‘And the being who turns to mediums, and to spiritists, to go whoring after them, I shall set My face against that being and cut him off from the midst of his people.” What do these quizzes, test and “Assignments” have to do with witchcraft, mediums, or spiritualists? We will explain below, and you may find that some of our presented information does not parallel your experience with these tests. It is important, however to remember how subtle the adversary can be…


Before you begin to read the information presented below please keep in mind that our immersion into Yahshua’s Name gave us a new beginning as a new creature. Yahweh placed His Spirit inside us as a dwelling place for Him. We are IDENTIFIED with that Spirit and Yahshua’s Name, and we should never allow any other negative Spiritual identification to be placed on us. In other words, we are in a covenant that demands our unfailing commitment to serving our Elohim, Yahweh through His son Yahshua Ha Mashiach. WE ARE HIS, AND DO NOT BELONG TO ANY OTHER ELOHIM!


While doing research for this article I typed in Google Search the phrase “What Color Are You Quiz?” I was directed to a quiz site that had me click on a link to, “Start My Quiz”. The next page was certainly revealing as it had an advertisement for a “Predictions” website, you could not go any further without looking at this ad because the quiz was not yet accessible. I have included the ad graphic below: I was somewhat surprised on how quickly the attempt to get me to participate in negative spiritual connections. It was literally two clicks from my original search on google. The ad states: “Amazing, detailed predictions that will change your life!” Yes, they would change my life if I choose to participate in their evil. This sets the tone for the rest of the article as you will be informed of the evil that witches use as a conductor of sorts to the negative/evil spirit realm.


I plead with you brethren and friends that if you are already susceptible to these negative influences DO NOT READ any further, as this will expose you further to THEIR ways. I have only produced this article as an education tool on how to AVOID the adversary and the negative/evil spiritual aspects that are all around us. You can leave this document NOW knowing full well that getting involved with anything that remotely introduces a spiritual “Embodiment” of a Color, Animal, Number, or Flower is altogether EVIL and not for Yahweh’s Elect to participate in.


It’s important to remember that in Scripture that colors are important to the Almighty and that we are not trying to diminish that designation. One example of color being associated with a Scriptural person would be David 1Sa 16:12 And he sent and brought him in. And he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And יהוה said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is the one!” Ruddy, or red could pertain to hair or complexion.

The above example confirms the fact that YHWH condones the descriptor of color being associated with that individual. This is His distinction for David as He created Him as that being. The first online quiz that we will scrutinize is one associated with color: “What color are you?” Here are some examples of how witches use color in their ceremonies, rituals, etc. This is from THEIR perspective that is why it is written in the FIRST person tense. If you choose to skim through this section I encourage you to read the “Animal” section as it has some revealing facts. As we see in the examples below they state how there is a special connection with finding out what your personal color is, and how you can grow as a person. This is completely different from what your favorite color is, then it is to what color has been “assigned” to you.

Color energies are useful in many ways. One of the most basic ways to use color symbolism in magic is to select candles of the color appropriate to your purpose. The power of color may be added at any point in rituals and spells to enhance the symbolism, and thus the power of the spell.

Examples include:

Altar Cloth & Flowers
Fabric and components for Amulets, Talismans, Dream Pillows, etc.
Food coloring choices in Bath Salts.
Label/Container choices for brews, teas, essential oils etc.
Meditations on colors for reaching specific chakras, or areas for psychic development.
Garments for ceremonies or simply on days when you wish to attract (or deflect) certain energies.
Colored papers and inks for written spell work.
Awareness of colors you select in your decor and environment.

As with most things magical, how you feel about the color and your aims is the most important guide. If a color feels right to use for a purpose, even if it is not listed here, use it! As shown in the varying and sometimes overlapping associations above, the power and meaning of colors varies somewhat form person to person.




This next section is associated with the question “What Animal Are you? While again this is not the same as what is your favorite animal is, as it is compared to what animal you are? This is extremely close if not already at the point of “embodying” their character. It is believed that the animal you are is how you are to act and what you should say. It is , once again, important to remember that Yahshua Himself is referred to as the “Lion Of The Tribe Of Yehudah” Rev. 5:5, that is His choice (or YHWH’s choice for Him) and distinction.

Other examples might be:

Gen 49:14 “Yissasḵar is a strong donkey lying down between two burdens, Gen 49:15 and he saw that a resting place was good, and that the land was pleasant, and he inclined his shoulder to bear a burden, and became a subject to slave labour. Gen 49:17 “Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward. Jacob/Israel makes these distinctions based on what YHWH has encouraged him to say. Is it possible that those examples give way to an “embodiment” of an animal? Possibly, but I think it is more about their character and / or flaws. It is interesting to note below (In the witches’ perspective area) that once you determine what “animal” you are then you are to act like it, and look for guidance from it. This to me is going against scripture in every way. We are to have dominion over the animals, not seek them for how to live our lives! Gen 1:26 And Elohim said, “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the earth.”



“Spirit Animals, Power Animals, and Totems”

Spirit animals are similar to angelic guardians. These noncorporal beings guide, protect, and assist witches in both the physical and the nonphysical worlds. Some people believe spirit animals once existed in physical bodies, but have now passed over to the spirit realm where they continue to aid human beings.

The Kahunas of Hawaii and Polynesia say that the spirits of animals live inside people. These spirit creatures endow human beings with special talents or skills that are in line with the animals' characteristics. For example, someone who has a spirit eagle inside him might possess keen eyesight. A graceful dancer might embody the spirit of a gazelle.

Everyone has at least one spirit animal who acts as a guide and guardian throughout the person's life. (The term “animal” in this case is used to refer to birds, reptiles, and insects as well as mammals.) This lifelong spiritual companion is often called a totem animal. At times, additional spirit animals may show up to help in certain circumstances. These creatures, frequently referred to as power animals, lend their special energies or qualities to you temporarily. If you must overcome a formidable obstacle, for instance, an elephant might come to you to offer its strength and tenacity.

Remain open to nature's voice and avoid anticipating what animal might be your own totem. In some cases, your totem may possess qualities similar to your own. A busy, hardworking witch might have a bee or ant as a totem. In other cases, your totem might display traits you've repressed or rejected, and need to reawaken within yourself.

Connecting with Your Animal Guides

Meeting a power animal or totem often takes place in a ritual setting. Or the animal spirit may reveal itself to you through a seemingly chance encounter with its physical counterpart. If you notice an animal you've never seen in your area before or in an unusual situation, it's probably significant. Sometimes a spirit animal will come to you in a dream, or through repeated sightings in a variety of media. If you are fiercely protecting and nourishing a pet project, for instance, you might suddenly start seeing pictures of bears in magazines, on television, and so on.

An animal's symbolism corresponds to the whole creature, both its positive and negative aspects. The otter, for example, is playful, but it can also get nippy. A witch with an otter totem, therefore, might have a biting sense of humor or take frolicking a bit too far.

You can also choose to meet spirit animals through a process called journeying. This visualization technique usually involves going into a light meditative trance and imagining you are tunneling into the earth, perhaps by entering a cave or following a tree's roots down deep into the ground. As you journey, mentally ask animal helpers to present themselves to you.

When an animal appears, ask it what it wants to tell you or offer to you. A deer might advise you to be gentle with yourself and others. A lion may bring you courage. Try to become one with the spirit animal and feel what it's like to be that animal. The more you can involve your senses, the better. Remember to thank the animal for its friendship and help, before saying goodbye and returning to your ordinary awareness.

Adopting Animal Powers

Once you've met your spirit animal, you can begin to incorporate its powers into yourself. To better acquaint yourself with the animal's characteristics, you could watch nature programs on television, visit a zoo or farm, or read books or magazine articles about the animal. Some people like to display images of their spirit animals on their altars or in prominent places in their homes. Others carry small tokens in the shapes of their animal helpers. You can purchase clothing, jewelry, and accessories decorated with animal images from organizations that protect wildlife, or you could even get a tattoo of your totem animal. “Terrestrial animals have always had a strong symbology associated with them. They have represented the emotional side of life, often reflecting qualities that must be overcome, controlled, and/or re-expressed.”

Practice behaving like your spirit animal. Arch your back and stretch like a cat. Stand tall like a giraffe. Swim and dive gracefully like a porpoise. Roar like a lion. Notice how you feel doing this. A number of yoga postures are named for animals, and you might benefit from trying these.

Show gratitude to your spirit animal for assisting you. Thank it for being in your life. Leave food outside for its earthly representatives. Donate money to organizations that help animals. Express kindness and consideration for all animals.”




That question brings to mind the correlation of the importance of numbers to your purpose in life. This is very similar to using your horoscope to determine the path and “destiny” of your life. We know from Scripture that Yahweh uses numbers as designators of special events or special symbolism. The witches are doing a “Syncretism” or parallel of that type of symbolism.

We are not dismissing the “Gematria” that exists in Scripture. It is important to some, and not important to others in our faith or similar faith’s. Personally, I don’t use “Gematria” in my studies other than what YHWH places for me to see what is important to correlate with His plan.

We are not studying the “Numerology” of Scripture in this article. This article is meant to inform the reader on the pitfalls of those using subtle “Numerology” in quizzes and tests that assign “What Number Are You?”. We are exposing their (Witches) ways in an attempt to guide our brethren and friends to a better way of living our lives. The adversary is always on the prowl looking for an opportunity to get you to come to his way of thinking/reasoning. These are some of the ways he does this process.

Notate on the section below dealing with “Learning more about your numbers can help you to tap your own personal power and work with it to enhance your life.” They stipulate reliance on your own “Personal power?” This does not include YHWH in your life in any way. This is relying on numbers to determine how well you will get along with the world around you.

Numerological Formula for Picking a Witch or Warlock Name

Matching your birth number with your name is important if you want your witch or warlock name to be lucky. Below is a easy method to help you pick a lucky name for yourself.
1. How to find your Birth Number.

Add all the numbers of your birthdate.
Example: May 20, 1955 = 5+2+0+1+9+5+5 = 27
Bring down the final two digits (27) and add together.
Example: 2+7 = 9
9 is the Birth Number.
2. Now to find out if the name you have chosen is appropriate for you. Alphabet and number equation.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z

Now by using the chart above calculate the name you have chosen by adding the letters and final sum.
Example: name = Sarah, S= 1, A = 1, R= 9, A = 1, H = 8
1+ 1 + 9 + 1 + 8 = 20
Bring down the sum and add:
2 + 0 = 2
2 is the Name number.
Now your birth number is 9 so you will need to add a letter or letters to make an equivalent to 7 (G, P, or Y) or you could add 2 letters that add up to 7..
Example: Adding a “g” to Sarah would be
“Saragh” = 1 + 1 + 9 + 1 + 7 + 8 = 27, broken down then 2 + 7 = 9

My number is 35. Oddly, many years ago when I was younger I had a dream of a rune. The rune I later learned was Sowila and Isa combined. I have a history of witches in my family but when I was young I never put any stock into it. When I looked into the history I found that I had Germanic and Druidic magical ancestors on my fathers side and Native american skin walkers on my mothers side. In fact when my grandmother was 12 she apparently said ” the train isn’t coming today, I heard it crash” of course she was told not to say such horrible things. Later that day it was found that the train had crashed, fifty miles away from where she was. Anyway, once I learned of all the ‘magical’ history my family had, I decided to ask my witch friend what my witch name should be. She said, Sovelisa. Which is how Sowilisa is pronounced. I came onto this sight and looked at the numerology and my number is 35. Sowilisa is 35.”

Another explanation of number is: Numerology is the study of numbers and the meaning associated with each number. Numbers play a role in your everyday life and they all have energy, your house number, telephone number, your day of birth and so on. Numerology can reveal aspects about your life, love, family, personality and career. Using simple calculations you can discover your own numbers. To calculate your Day Number take the day you were born such as the 29th and add the two numbers together which makes 11 and then add 1+1 to get 2 which is your day number. Last but not least in our study is the attribution of “Who you are” in relation to a certain type of flower. The adversary is very crafty using this one as a “designator” as Scripture does the same…

We must be wary of the WAY the adversary brings “Flower” designations to an unsuspecting individual. Once again, we have Scriptural examples of flowers, or plants and trees being used as symbolism for us to learn.

Our first example is more of an interpretation from the book of Song of Songs:

I am the rose of Sharon, The lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns, So is my love among the daughters. Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, So is my beloved among the sons. I delighted in his shade and sat down, And his fruit was sweet to my taste. Some have made the claim that the title “Rose of Sharon” is referring to Yahshua Ha Mashiach. Others say it points to “The Bride”. Whichever way you go, the fact remains that the flower is used as a symbol, most likely of something beautiful. Songs of Songs 2:1-3


The voice said, “Cry out!” and he said, “What do I cry?” “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like theflower of the field. “Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, when the Spirit of יהוה has blown on it! Truly the people is grass! “Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, but the Word of our Elohim stands forever.” Isaiah 40:6-8

As you can see in the examples above flowers have good and not-so-good connotations when used as symbolism for people. This section seems to be a little less of how one might “Be” a particular flower, instead focusing on the “Appeasement” of certain deities with certain flowers, as well as the magical “uses” of certain flower species.

As flowers, plants, herbs etc… are all used in natural healings, so there may actually be some alignment of healing associated with YHWH’s creation. We are bringing forth an argument on how one might get entangled by the man-made distinction of “being” a certain flower. Not that a pretty woman couldn’t be compared with a beautiful flower. Comparisons are natural for us as humans to point out the variety of the creation that surrounds us…

For witches who honor a specific god or goddess, plants provide a means to please and appease these beings. The mythologies of numerous cultures worldwide link deities with plants. Kama, the Hindu god of love, bears flower-tipped arrows. The plants of the Persian god Haoma offer healing. The Aztec's Xochipilli is known as the flower prince. Zemyna, from the Baltic region, gave birth to all plants. Vidyadhara, from Tibet, teaches how to use the magical properties of plants.

If you wish to attract the help of a particular god or goddess, you could put plants that are sacred to the deity on your altar. Or incorporate its components into incense, candles, or oils. If the plant is edible, use it in food or beverages.

In some instances, deities temporarily assumed the form of plants, or transformed mortals into plants. When Persephone caught Pluto flirting with a maiden named Minthe, she turned her rival into mint. Similarly, violets are said to be the victims of Venus and Cupid.

We should be choosing our friends and content that makes each interaction a blessing and not ones that could lead to a curse.
